With one suitcase suspended on a pole between them, they wander the bedraggled streets until passing by accident the door of the Sun record studios, which is a shrine for them.

Movie images from the 2010 Comic-Con continue to flood the web, including four new character posters featuring the main cast members of next year’s Green Lantern.

There were no news bombshells dropped at the Green Lantern Panel at the convention, and these new images – which were released courtesy of Warner Bros. – do not exactly show off a lot.  They are definitely stylish enough to qualify as a must-see for Green Lantern fans, though.

First we have the one-sheets for Hal Jordan/Green Lantern himself (Ryan Reynolds) and his gal pal Carol Ferris (Blake Lively).  Those that been less than taken with Reynold’s look as the Lantern so far can enjoy the sight of him minus the white, gleaming eyes and sinewy green mask.

Lively looks pretty simple here too, though there has been some speculation that Ferris’ alter-ego Star Sapphire could appear in the movie at some point. The day/night contrast between Reynolds and Lively here is intriguing, so we will see what that entails for their characters’ relationship.

There are also new posters that feature mark Strong as the Lantern’s mentor, Sinestro and Peter Sarsgaard as the evil psychic Hector Hammond.  Despite his tendency to take on outright villainous roles – and Sinestro’s fiery-faced appearance – Strong’s take on the character is expected to be more nuanced than that.

It looks like Sarsgaard as Hammond is not yet quite as cranially-enhanced here as he was in the previous photo we saw of the villain.  Props to the guy for putting up with that prosthetic and makeup job – just because he is starring in a comic book movie doesn’t mean the task is any less strenuous.

The Green Lantern movie is just under a year away from release and it is shaping up to be a good time. The positive buzz that I’ve heard about the footage shown at Comic-Con only makes me all the more excited to see an actual trailer, hopefully sometime sooner than later.

Green Lantern will hit theaters in the U.S. on June 17th, 2011.

Anyone who knows how many seasons of desperate housewives there are going to be? Some people says that the sixth is the last season. Is that true?

Marc Cherry's (the creator) plan was to have 7 seasons, but a while ago, he said he wanted 9 seasons. It all depends on what he wants and what ABC wants. It's been consistently getting high ratings for the past few seasons, so it won't get canceled, just ended.

The sixth is not the last season; there will be at least a complete 8 seasons before the show ends. Marc Cherry, however, has recently expressed interest in adding an additional season or two before stopping, and some of the cast members are supporting this.

I'm hoping it'll end after 10 seasons, (and make the tenth season the biggest mystery season ever), but as for now, only 8 are planned.

According to a site, it will have at least 1 or 2 more seasons before the finale. The ratings goes well for this show so it will not get sacked like the others. Let's just hope for the best.

Once upon a time, romantic and marital comedies involved verbal fireworks and the odd physical outburst such as Groucho Marx kicking Margaret Dumont's bum and Gary Grant pushing Katharine Hepburn's face at the start of The Philadelphia Story.

Nowadays the genre involves so many weapons and so much bone-crunching action – Mr and mrs Smith, The Bounty Hunter, Date Night, Knight and Day – that the marital contract should be replaced by an arms proliferation treaty. It makes you wonder what contemporary Hollywood would do if it set about remaking the classics.

A new version of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? with George and Martha lobbing hand grenades instead of guzzling gin and Nora Ephron updating her rom-com standard-setters to When Harry Mauled Sally, Headless in Seattle and You've got Mace.

Killers adds little that's fresh to the booming romance-as-a-

battlefield genre but the presence of bodies tumbling as freely as confetti does at least prevent it congealing into the manipulative mush we see in so many regulation rom-coms.

Nothing says “I love you” like a bullet in the temple, I guess.

After the frenetic action of Knight and Day, in which Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz barely spent a calm moment together, I must say I quite enjoyed the first half hour or so of Killers in which Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl swan around the south of France getting to know each other.

Kutcher plays a CIA hitman named Spencer who's getting tired of murder and mayhem and is yearning for the quiet life.

Heigl's Jen, on the other hand, is a recently jilted IT executive who's been reduced to trudging around Europe with her wealthy, overbearing father (Tom Selleck) and lush of a mother (Catherine O'Hara). so when the pair lay eyes on each other in a swish Nice hotel – or, more accurately, when Jen encounters a shirtless Spencer a now-standard chick flick meet-cute manoeuvre – romance blossoms, with Kutcher's James Bond-like superspy dispatching villains between canoodling sessions.

Three years later Spencer and Jen are living the American dream – happily ensconced in a big house on a manicured estate, surrounded by oddball but charming neighbours and still in the first flush of love.

Spencer's past comes back to haunt him when one of his co-workers and close friends (a maniacal Bob Riggle) tries to whack Spencer, revealing the secret that he has a $20 million bounty on his head.

Soon every seemingly ordinary neighbour and friend is packing heat and desperate to take down Spencer and, if necessary, his newly pregnant spouse. The idea that your friends and neighbours may be your executioners if the price is right has nice satirical potential but director Robert Luketic, best known for fluff such as Legally Blonde and Monster-in-Law, doesn't really have the chops for edgy black comedy.

He simply piles on the assassination attempts and action sequences with little deftness or control. they are neither tense nor bleakly comic, just routine and tiresome.

Killers is at its very limited best when Kutcher and Heigl engage with their bickering couple routine, especially in those lively and quite amusing scenes when Jen discovers she's having a baby which is a scarier prospect than the bullets flying around them.

Kutcher and Heigl don't have much chemistry – she seems far too mature for the boyish Kutcher – but they're game. I could think of worse things than spending 90 minutes in the company of these professional charmers.

And, unlike Cruise and Diaz in Knight and Day, they actually talk to each other.

When it gets a little dull, there's Selleck and O'Hara to liven things up – the bullying, interfering, right-wing American Dad type and his wife who is quietly drinking herself into rehab. now that's the movie I really want to see.
