Anyone who knows how many seasons of desperate housewives there are going to be? Some people says that the sixth is the last season. Is that true?
Marc Cherry's (the creator) plan was to have 7 seasons, but a while ago, he said he wanted 9 seasons. It all depends on what he wants and what ABC wants. It's been consistently getting high ratings for the past few seasons, so it won't get canceled, just ended.

The sixth is not the last season; there will be at least a complete 8 seasons before the show ends. Marc Cherry, however, has recently expressed interest in adding an additional season or two before stopping, and some of the cast members are supporting this.
I'm hoping it'll end after 10 seasons, (and make the tenth season the biggest mystery season ever), but as for now, only 8 are planned.
According to a site, it will have at least 1 or 2 more seasons before the finale. The ratings goes well for this show so it will not get sacked like the others. Let's just hope for the best.
